Blue Source Canada has developed over two dozen offset quantification protocols and calculation tools to date. Many of these protocols and calculators are approved for use under provincial offset systems in Canada in addition to being referenced in the development of protocols for Canada’s emerging federal offset system.
Our approach to developing offset protocols is based on best practice guidance under the International Organization for Standardization 14064-2 specifications for quantification, monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emission reductions or removal enhancements. These protocols have been reviewed by technical experts and industry participants to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the quantification methods.
Although we have access to a lengthy database of quantification protocols at various stages of approval under the Alberta and Federal offset systems, we proudly offer our services in developing comprehensive protocols to address any relevant project type.
