Yvan Champagne
President, Blue Source Canada
As the President of Blue Source Canada, Yvan oversees Blue Source project sourcing, offset sales and brokerage and consulting initiatives for the Canadian market. An experienced leader and entrepreneur in carbon markets, Yvan brings great passion for and understanding of environmental technologies and greenhouse gas reduction projects to Blue Source.
His broad experience includes GHG project screening, assessment and contracting, advising companies and organizations across Canada on sustainable environmental strategies and programs, government relations consulting in the energy sector, public affairs and marketing, and growing companies in new markets. Yvan obtained his B.A. in Political Science from Yale University with a focus on environmental policy and business-government relations, including Graduate-level Forestry studies in the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. A graduate of the Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA Program, Yvan is also Co-Chair of IPOG (Industry-Provincial Offset Group), the industry association for the Canadian offset sector which brings together provincial governments, project developers and companies that account for over 50% of all industrial emissions in Canada.
When he's not in the office, Yvan enjoys spending time with his family, playing hockey and tennis, and exploring the great Canadian outdoors.
